Aftab orders stern action against rioters

By our correspondent

KARACHI: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Home Affairs Aftab Ahmed Shaikh has directed the authorities concerned to deal those elements who are involved in creating law and order situation and damaging public property with an iron hand.

He issued such directives while chairing a high-level meeting held to review the law and order situation after the bomb blast at Hyderi Mosque and some other matters relating to Home Department on Sunday.

He said the Sindh government and Karachi police are utilising all resources to maintain peace in the metropolis. He directed the law-enforcing agencies to keep vigil on those who try to fan sectarian hatred.

Aftab Shaikh ordered the police to take stern action against those who are involved in blocking roads and damaging public properties.

He appealed to the masses to be united and foil the conspiracy of some anti-state elements, who want to start sectarian riots in the city after the mosque bomb blast.
